 100% of our products are Vegan and gluten free - All soaps are made from organic, locally grown plants in Paraguay. 

Paraguay is a very different country from the USA. Labor regulations are archaic and go largely unenforced. Wembe, through our parent company Durandal SA, employs roughly 20 people at above market wage rates by 20% - 30%. We also provide training of skill sets that can migrate to different jobs in mechanical or chemical areas of manufacturing. The installations where we manufacture are new and made to code and specification for additional safety features and environmental efficiency, using spring water and hydroelectric power.

 Wembé is a derivative of the Guaraní word "Guembé", which describe a plant that grows in the entire Amazonian region. Also called "Ceriman", Monster Fruit, it is a tropical species from the Aráceas family.
